Common Conditions of Genitalia
Genital Scabies
Quite often lesions of scabies may be seen on the genitals. Apart from intense nocturnal itching, the lesions are observed as papules on the prepuce, glans and shaft of the pens, and scrotum with the burrow tract seen as a thin, black irregular line on top. Very often, scratching by the patient removes the top, leaving a small shallow ulcer and subsequent crusting. Female genitalia are rarely affected by this condition.
