BODY ODOUR

Cleanliness

In the olden days, we were warned against bathing. We were told that water was bad for the skin. But according to the modern theory the women with the loveliest skin are those who clean their skin regularly. Have a daily bath and wash yourself completely, using plenty of soap and water. People with oily or delicate skins should soften the water with bicarbonate of soda or bran. Use a good toilet or sulphur soap and rub the skin vigorously. A shower is stimulating and reinvigorating and is therefore perfect for the morning. A bath relaxes you and should be taken at night. A warm bath prepares you for sleep and is good fro nervous or overweight people. A cold water bath is good for those with flabby muscles and sluggish system which need a stimulus. You can wash yourself with water at different temperatures on different parts of the body – cold to make the bossom firm, hot to make the ankles slim, etc.,
Be careful when applying cold water to breasts. Only douche the tips of the nipples and do it very quickly, as prolonged washing of the breasts could chill mammary glands deeply and cause bronchitis. Many women use ice to rub over the tips of the breasts. The intense cold water causes a very strong static contractions in the mammary muscles without causing a chill.
